You might consider sending your dead guage to North Hollywood Speedometer and give them a go at fixing it.

Well for those still reading this a dealer told me that the Faria part number S3051 is the replacement gauge.

While I am waiting for a new gauge to come in, can I just use a $15 temp guage from any auto parts store to test with? Are are the marine ones specifically matched with the sender?
