    Gt-40 exhaust smoke

I have a 2000 ski nautique with approximately 700 hours. Do know exactly due to bad gauges,
Got 40 is starting to smoke a little, more noticeable at colder air temp.
Is this a indication of a engine or ring issue?
    Boat still runs good

If it's more noticeable at colder temps, it's probably just steam.

Agreed. It's almost for sure steam. By the way, 700 hours on a GT-40 is nothing. I once drove a ski-school SN with a GT-40 in it that had over 4000 hours on it. Ran like a champ.

jeff, i have the same year and boat...in the same state!..I noticed the same yesterday! Dipstick still shows full of brown oil (no signs of water in the oil), and it runs perfect.

But still "odd" that its doing this.
