    Tower Nav Light Base Replacement

I broke our G23 nav light base, again. Surf rope got wrapped around it and we let it rip.

I replaced the snap in base only last year - Attwood 5580-03. Anyone know who sells these at a decent price? Also, there was a separate website where you could order Attwood stuff direct, but I can't remember the site. Anyone know this?

I found it. The site for Attwood replacement parts is backtoboating.com

The Nav light snap in base that mounts to the tower (the part that breaks when you hit your light on something or wrap a rope around it) is 5580-03:

Unless you destroy the light itself it usually pops off the base and is OK, but the base tends to shatter if it gets side load from a rope or strike. Replace the base and pop the old light back in.

Wow that is a good price . I paid like $35.00 for that part from my dealer after I raised my boat up too far in my boat lift whereby the cable lifting pipe crushed the light on top of the tower

Hmm wonder if that is the same one as my 2014 210.. snapped mine off for the 2nd time. Both lights work but the base is broke. Would rather not pay the extra money..

Thanks for posting! Amazon sells the whole assembly for $44 but I was never able to find the base only.

Got my base looks like it’ll work perfectly. Is there away to mount without disconnecting the wires? Didn’t know if the light housing can come apart enough to slide the base through?

That is the one drawback, you do need to cut the wire and re-connect. Pretty quick and easy with some butt splices. The first time I replaced one I had hoped you could cut a slot to slide the wire in, which would be doable, but it would show on the external section of the base. This time I might even just use some removable terminals, so next time I don't have to cut.

how does the clear cover come off? I looked at mine over the weekend and it looked like a couple of bugs found their way in there.
