I have read through a lot of post about ballast - I am trying to get my head around how the older systems work, any suggestions on where I can get an overall understanding of the system? I know there is water coming into the starboard and port ballast when we are skiing, would like to not have to keep running pump to drain while skiing AND now I discovered a leak on the starboard side coming from under the ballast and expect it is a joint, hose or pump....so I will take the ballast out later this week to take a look, just want to know what to expect and what to do and not to do...
