Greetings!
My ride is not starting consistently. Started a month ago...getting a "click" noise when I push start, then nothing at all. Found out I had a blown starter fuse. Changed it and the starter would again "click". Checked the batteries, checked connections, verified voltage (using a LED voltage tester), verified in neutral, checked the safety lanyard and fuses. Changed the starter relay and it fired right up. Ran great for a month. Fast forward to last weekend. First run of the morning...fired right up, warmed up engine, shut off engine to get skier in the water and upon start up "click".
I was towed in and went to get my box of spare fuses and relays, but I wanted to check before replacing parts...fired right up after resting for about 45 minutes, but am now worried about being mid-water to cut the boat off just to hear the "click" when trying to start.
A couple of things...
-starter and solenoid were replaced last year
-I do not get a "click" each time I hit the start button. Once I push the start button I get a "click", a couple of seconds will go by and there is another much softer "click" that will happen...almost like a reset, then I can hit the start and get the same "click".
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
