Cupholder adhesive question

So I had an odd problem with my cupholders on my 2017 G23 where 4-5 of them suddenly would only light up half way. The dealer swapped them out and the lights are now fine. However, now they are popping up out of the holes when folks pull their drinks out. I'm assuming they need to be adhered down and was wondering if anyone knows what they did at the factory. I see some black looking "dabs" that resemble silicon but wasn't sure what it was. I'd take them back to the dealer but its a 2 hour drive and it seems this would be simple and easy to address.

Any suggestions?

I would agree with you that the cup holders are lame at best . Poor cheap quality . Mind come up too in my G 23 2017 . It amazes me just how cheaply made the cup holders are as well as the gas caps . The gas caps are junk in my opinion

My cup holders usually aren't adhered even when I pick the boat up at the factory. Annoying, but probably an easy fix. I usually just have White Lake do it when I have the boat there for service.

I actually like the gas caps. Can't drop them in the water anymore!

I considered replacing all of them with some kind of stainless steel option but the holes are so large it's difficult to find any that will fit. I'm still looking.

Just wish the gas caps were metal rather than plastic. You are correct that you can not drop them in the water anymore

I have the stainless cupholders and have a larger sizes hose clamp installed around the cup below the fiberglass. Holds them in place like a champ

Great idea. I dont know how hard it would be to access all the cup holders in my G23 from the back side .

On mine, most were fairly easy to access the only ones I had to do "blind" were the cupholders in the cabin for passengers since I had to reach under seat. Using a handheld screwdriver with 5/16" end is how I tightened the clamps
