Anyone ever see this code?

Just heard a pop in the engine bay. Lost throttle and the boat shuddered to a stop and won’t restart

“DTC 342 Loss of cam input signal”

That code means that the cam sensor failed. That would cause the engine to shut down and not restart. Probably just a new sensor would work.

Yea that's the camshaft position sensor. Either the sensor failed or something went wrong with the connection to it. If you're willing to crawl back there, I'd recommend giving it a look and even disconnecting/reconnecting it.
