1988 2001 - post winterization (Sea Foam) sluggish acceleration.

Hey all,

I winterized my boat last winter and used Sea Foam in my gas tank. I had a busy year and have only launched my boat this week. I filled the tank - topping it off - and went out of the lake. The first thing I notice is my Nautique is not "coming out of the hole" with the power it had last year. The boat idles fine but is not accelerating with the proper power. Does anyone have any experience with this and/or input?

Take off your distributor cap and look at the contact points. Are they clean, or crusty? A corroded cap can happen even to a brand new boat after sitting for a long period of time. It's a simple place to start.
