Transmission Issues 2009 SAN Team Edition

Hi Guys,

I have a 2009 Super Air Nautique Team Edition with a PCM ZR409 engine. I am currently trying to trouble shoot an issue. When the throttle is in the neutral position the boat will start but it is actual in gear and will move forward. If I move the throttle forward it go accelerate properly. If I move the throttle in to reverse it does not engage. There were no issues with performance or strange noises from the transmission that I could hear before the issue. I am trying to figure out if the Transmission has gone/going out, or if it is a cable issue.

Any thoughts or advice?

Sounds like you need to adjust the throttle/shift cable. Doesn’t sound like a problem with the transmission itself.
