    Last PCM 330 Excalibur EVER...

I found out some very interesting news today, while going back and forth with the skeleton crew of the PCM factory in SC (due to the hurricane) about a wiring harness issue on a new crate motor I bought, I am being told, PCM will no longer marine-ize the 5.7 aka 330 Excalibur ... and to add to that, mine was apparently the last one.

Not sure if it’s a good thing or not, but now I have the ability to plug and play fly by wire throttle and zero off, pretty great for a 2004 SANTE 210...

Very interesting that PCM would stop production of this heavy produced motor and leave a lot of money on the table as their other options are not exactly a simple swap...

Interesting. I could be wrong, but I've heard new 5.7 (350) blocks are getting harder to come by since GM is focusing production on the LS family of engines. This may have something to do with PCM dropping the 5.7.

Just think of all of us with 5.8 gt40 motors, that have been discontinued for 15-16 years. That GM block is still probably the most manufactured v8 of all time.
