    RE: perfect pass question

    what version are you running?

If I have a smooth acceleration out of the hole PP normally takes over before I get to the set speed and walks it right up to the set amount.

For skiers who want a real hot start, I have a tendency to over shoot the speed by as much 4 - 8 mph.

It also depends on whether you've got the throttle by wire. If you've got a new boat and it's overshooting, but assumption is that it should not be.

On older boats, it helps to know what rpm you are shooting for and try to overshoot it by about 50 or 100 rpms just to be sure you don't undershoot.

we've got it in our 06-211te and it does the same thing. lighter weighted riders and a low weight in the boat shoots past a bit. heavy load in the boat or a guy thats dragging out of the hole and it stops dead on. It seems like it matters how fast you accelerate to set point. It's smart but only smrt at fast accel. i like it, it lets me know when the boats hit my set speed.
