14 G23 Shaft and Strut replacement

Hit a submerged log over the weekend and bent my strut and shaft. Dealer sent me a new strut,shaft,and dip-less seal. I see the coupler comes on the new shaft. My question is which way does the shaft come out? Does it slide out to the back of the boat or forward? From the looks of the new one it comes out of the front the trans. Im a car mechanic but im just doing some research before I get into it. Thanks

I don't know about the 2014 but on my 2018 G23 the dealer removed the floor and pulled the shaft out from the front. All the best.

Thats what im thinking. Looks like the only way.
