Removing buoy scuff marks from gel coat

Looking to see what is used to take off the scuff marks from the slalom course guide buoys (polyform cylinder style). I have use a light polish cleaner, but looking for something not so corse or disruptive to the gel coat. I know acetone will take it off but again looking for something less harsh.

Acetone was going to be my suggestion. I'd just use that and follow up with a quick coat of wax for those spots.

So you want to start with the least abrasive and go up from there as necessary. Solvents first. Acetone is a good one. If that doesn't take them off, move up to a "cleaner/wax." That's a wax with a little bit of abrasive in it. If that doesn't work, move up to something like Meguire's Scratch-X. If THAT doesn't work, reply back here and we'll talk about steps past that.
