So after the ZR6 6.0 engine shut down on one side on my 2006 SV221. I took my boat to the local Nautique dealer. This is not the dealer I bought it from but it's now the nearest Nautique dealer in my area. After I explained issue and that it is an electrical issue the dealership went ahead and completed $600 worth of totally unnecessary investigation. So after 3 weeks they contact me and as I explained the electrical issue the ECM is identified as the problem and that it needed to be replaced at an additional $1900.
As you can I imagine I am not to happy with a $2,500 outcome but hey it's a boat what do you expect. WHAT I didn't expect when I collected the boat was the engine hours now read 1101, very strange because when I took it in it had 740. The dealership couldn't explain the reason for the issue. So I am not at all happy with the fact the dealership sold me on a new ECM module and I am thinking they have replaced it with a used part. Very disappointed in this as a new ECM should read zero hours.
Any one got any thoughts or comments. TIA
