Winterizing Ballast Pump

Question: I unscrewed the top of this pump in the picture, I made sure no water was in the housing and left it apart for the winter. Semi-heated storage (never below 45)

Water Lines are all blown out.

Should I leave it apart, or put it back together with AF? Thanks D

Those are aerator pumps and are self draining. I've never done anything other than make sure the tanks were empty on these systems but it never hurts to be safe with water and freezing temps. You'll be fine putting everything back together and ready for next season.
