Hard ballast tanks or bag ballast tanks - G23's

Can anyone confirm whether the 2 side Stock ballast subfloor tanks and belly Stock ballast subfloor tanks on the G series models are hard plastic or whether they are bag style ballast tanks?

Well, yeah...You never got curious and took a screw gun to see what was under those little hatches? I could hardly wait to see...

I am curious as well? Is it really bags? And is it safe to assume the GS uses the same as the G model. I would have thought it was hard plastic???

Yes to my knowledge G and GS boats use bags rather than hard tanks.

Yes, ballast bags. Long rectangle for the rear and triangle under the bow.

I wonder what the reason is for bags vs. plastic? Is it maintenance? Can you even access the ballast bags? In my opinion coming from an OG210 internal ballast is awesome. Fat sacs take up so much needed space. That is one of the main reasons I purchased a GS20 vs. a 210.

All G and GS series boats use subfloor bags. The reason being is if a bag rips, they are accessible and replaceable. Imagine trying to replace a cracked tank in a competitors boat, the entire top deck has to be removed!

The rear sacs are accessible through the floor panels in the rear lockers. Bow is accessible through a floor panel under each seat. Also you can access it to some degree, with the woofer removed.

As stated, but easier to service then a failed hard tank.
