Drains

2004 SV211.

Two drains in the bow, one under the seat and one in the walkway. I pulled off the chrome perko plate in the walkway and it seams to go nowhere. Solid underneath the plate. Seems odd. Can anyone clue me in?

I assume it should just drain down into the bilge. I wonder if it wasn't drilled out at the factory for some reason.

I guess it might be...before I drill, I'll take another look from underneath in the ski locker.

Nautiquehunter, so you think drilling a small hole for it to go into ski locker is a bad thing? I don’t want to do something stupid here.

Can you post pictures of your issues with the drain? From my understanding the factory didn’t drill the hole before screwing the drain plate on, but it sure would be nice for us to see what your dealing with so we can give you solid advice.

So that cut out is about an inch deep and then it is solid. It doesn’t go in to ski locker or bilge...

Others can chime in but I think that is how my 2008 210 was and it is normal. I remember thinking it odd but i think it runs down toward center of boat and then somehow get's to bilge.

I thought you meant there was no hole...

So if you pour water in that hole it won't drain???

No, it fills up the inch deep cut out and then fills up the bow.

I bet you have a clogged drain channel or line. Run a snake or something down it to see if there is a blockage
