Greatly appreciate the guidance on not putting the pump hose down the dip stick, due to the tendency to get stuck. I had no issue, but maybe I was lucky.

One other question... At the very bottom on the picture, there is something that looks like a LARGE oil filter. If in the boat, facing the engine, it is in the closest left corner... what is that?
This method didn't work for me at first either because the drain hose was completely kinked from the factory.

You need to run your hand all the way down the entire length of the oil drain hose to where it comes off the oil pain to make sure it isn't kinked.

As someone mentioned above, the fitting on the oil pan directs the drain hose toward the stern of the boat, but the engine installers pull the hose toward the front of the engine where it is clipped on a lifting ring. This will often cause a kink in the hose.

Check the entire length of the hose and let us know what you find.

I took the cap off, the kink in the hose seems like the most likely situation. It is a good point and would be easy to forget.

Charles had a very good point. Like you on my last oil extration I could not get any oil to pump out of the engine even after I had run the engines for 2 hours .Oil cap was off and there was no kink in the hose. I later discovered there was actually a small pin hole in the extrator line going into the extrator tank thus no pressure generated to pull the oil from the engine.
