RE: Has any body ever had to replace a guide fin ?
Yes, I''ve replaced them. 4 screws. They are not through bolts. Remove the four screws. You may have
to pry it off. I used a pipe wrench and wiggled it back and forth. They are held in with caulk. Clean
away the caulked area. To put it back, use "Life Boat Calk" or a similar marine use calk product, 4 screws,
and you back on the water. I really don't remember how much the tracking fins were. May $69 or $79. Something like that. It's really not a tough job. BKH.2001 Super Air

I had to replace two on my '94, and they were about $100 each. Very easy to replace though.
The three on my SAN have been replaced too, due to the recall for deteriorating tracking fins.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

You should also, put the caulk into to the screw holes, I don't think they go all the way through but, it'll help in preventing them backing out or loosing them.

I recently had to do this...I was surprised by how strong the bond with the caulk was. I tried a few different techniques to get the fin off, but the one that did it was super easy, so I thought I'd share...
I ended up spraying goo gone around the fin I wanted to replace (being careful not to spray others), dug the caulk out around the edges of the fin, sprayed more goo gone then I hooked a motorcycle strap up to the fin and the trailer and ratcheted it nice a tight. Then I just let it sit for a couple hours, and when I came outside again the fin was laying on the ground.
