    Detailing my 2008 SV211

I've had my 211 for over a month now and today was the day to start a full detail.

I started with the exterior today. I'm using a DA Polisher and CarPro products. It took me a while to find the right combination to get the stubborn water spots taken down. In the end it was the flash pad (high cutting) and a medium cut compound followed up by a polishing pad and compound. I plan to follow up with a ceramic coating and a layer of wax to finish it off. That should keep the water spots from etching into the gelcoat again. I was only able to complete one side of the boat today so when time allows I'll get onto the other. It always takes longer than you (and the wife) expect.

On the roadmap is to add Seadek flooring to replace the carpet. Currently in the design stage with Seadek. I deliberated long and hard but have settled on Mocha Teak 2". The teak lines will run East-West on the swim platform/transom and North-South for the rest of the boat.

I'm also thinking about removing the tribal decal and replacing with Chromax letting. I'm still sitting on the fence....I quite like the Tribal and a photoshop mock up with the Chromax didn't look right. I think the lettering is too large for my smaller hull. Will wait another season before doing any thing rash.

    Anyways here are the pics.

1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)
1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)
