2007 210 Bilge Pump always on

Turned the boat on for the first time since winterizing, and now the rear bilge runs non stop. The one towards the front runs for a few seconds as designed, but the rear never shuts off. I can turn it off with the switch on the dash. Worked fine when I put it away, any ideas where to start?

I'll check for one, but I was under the impression from everything I've read that the way the system works us to run for a few seconds and if there's no resistance (no water) then it shuts off.

Quite possible...not an expert on bilge pump internals. The pump in my 2004 seems to work as you describe - starts and then cycles off.

If it was mine, I'd go full redneck engineering and whack it slightly to see if what ever is stuck..unsticks.

Yeah, no float switches on those.

You may just have to replace it.

Agreed, just replace it. They aren't that expensive and it's most likely not going to fix itself. It isn't worth the risk to come out and find your battery is dead due to this pump.

I agree replace. And because this can happen at any time, I suggest if you have to leave your boat with battery switch on to run the pumps, put it on EITHER 1 or 2, but NOT both. Cause you could come out to 2 dead batteries vs one.

The pump will be dragging making it think that there is water being pumped, so staying on. As I’m tight fisted/like to fix stuff, I’d pull the pump first to see if anything has wrapped itself around the impeller.

I'm like ally505.... pull that thing to see what's going on. Sometimes it's a quick fix.

Just to close the loop on this one. I tried to a few things with the old bilge, couldn't really figure anything out. The motor didn't feel bound up, and actually the new bilge pump had about the same amount of resistance. Anyway, got the new one installed and it works great. Thanks all for the help.
