2019 G able to turn engine over without starting??

Hey guys, any ability on a 2019 G23 to turn the engine over but without starting?

and no... pulling the safety lanyard does NOT work. If you do that it won’t turn over.

i’d like to be able to prime lake water and engine oil without running them dry for however long it takes for a 7month dry sitting engine.

You could pull the spark plug wires if nothing else. Just don't mix them up!

Yea, you can do that but I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve. These engines do not need any "priming" at all, no matter how long they've been sitting.

I ALWAYS start my boat in the driveway on garden hose before going to the boat launch. Cause you just never know.

Last year buddy who never starts his before launching had his flush pro explode over the winter. So yeah, there we were just pulled away from dock and started over heating. no damage, but a big pita....

You want to disconnect the fuel system, not the spark system. If you don't do this, the EFI system will squirt fuel into the cylinders washing the residual oil off the cylinder walls and risking the chance of cylinder damage.

You should be able to pull either the relay for the fuel pump or disconnect the harness wire to the fuel pump. This is the best method if you want to crank but not start the engine.

Candidly, you shouldn't have an issue with a normal start after storage. You'll get oil pressure within a few seconds and residual oil will protect the bearings during that period. Just don't rev the engine until you get pressure.
