2006 Nautique SV211 Dash Issue

Looking for suggestions/ideas on my 2006 Nautique sv 211 gauges. I see a lot of forums on the gauges not working. My gauges work but they short out and reset while the boat is running. Basically the gauges power off and the needles drop to 0 and then immediately reset back to the appropriate spot (both when the engine is running and also in the ignition mode without engine running)

my thoughts:
loose power connection at the gateway or battery terminal

old gateway box (this is the 2006 model. There is no pitot line running water to the gateway.)

boat only has 260 hours.

any ideas on what to check/fix?

Check the battery connections, but also check the connections at the dash and at the gauges themselves.
