    Removing gt40 engine from supersport

Has anyone ever just removed the engine out of a super sport?
I dont really want to remove the tranny and engine together.
I'm down to removing the front motor mounts and bell housing bolts

Just trying to figure out how far forward its gotta come and how I'm going to lift it off the engine mounts with it attached to the tranny.

Only removed/replaced tranny in my '96 SN. So can't help on the engine. Don't recall how long the splined shaft was, but probably 3".

Direct drive right? Why don't you want to pull it together? Seems to be to simpler to crack it apart / re-assemble on the hoist vs trying to do it in the boat. I'd just pull it all as a unitt.

I pulled the tranny from my 97 Ski to do the front oil seal...tranny didn't weigh that much....maybe 80 lbs or so? Undid the rear mounts, tipped the motor forward, bear hugged it out.

1997 Masters Edition Nautique - Zephyr Green - gone (amazing ski wake)
1982 Mastercraft Powerslot - gone (a primitive but wonderful beast)

No, its a Super Sport, its a V Drive
I removed the engine out of my Ski nautique direct drive and it was much easier to pull as a unit, not this
