2005 SV211 TE Dead guages (NEED HELP!)

Hello,

I dewinterized my 2004 SV211 TE and no gauges turn on.

So i checked the Faria gateway box and there is zero water in it, looks completely clean. Reattached all wires and still nothing changed. I then checked dash wiring all seemed perfectly fine. Just to be completely sure i did check with a voltmeter and positive reads on all 4 pins and also checked between each gauge still positive reads. I then disconnected all and just connected the speedometer and nothing. Then i tried with the oil pressure gauge just to make sure it was not the speedo gone bad but also nothing.

I just cannot figure out what might be causing this issue. it seems unlikely that all guages fail the same winter? I also dont get why there is no light og digital display when there is clearly voltage going to the gauge?

Everything else on the boat is fine, just my dash that is dead.

Same with mine. All my gauges have now gone out as well on my 2006 226, and I don't backlighting for the gauges either. I am getting 8.2v on the red wire and 3.8 volts on the white wire.

I'm going to call Faria and get the Faria BUS schematic unless someone here has it. My guess is that it's a capacitor in the Gateway (a .78 cent part) which is going to force us all to spend $1600 for a new gateway and gauges.

Hey, yep i found the solution.

I was getting around 8-9 volt at the dash, later checked at the Furia gateway same story the volt was no where near 12. Double checked the ground and it turned out that the main ground and one of the sensor ground was bad due to corrosion.

You can try to measure the voltage going into the furia gateway by using ground on the engine instead of the ground in the input cable. this should indicate if it is bad ground.

I am also not a fan of the backlight colors. I would be ok with the color of the backlight if the keypad and ballast gauges matched. My upgraded stargazer PP is also an issue its blinding at night and I don't think I can dim it.

After confirming I have all the right voltages in to the gateway and on the Faria bus, I went ahead and replaced all of my gauges. I did it myself and it wasn't that difficult. It took only a couple of hours. Also, I noticed that https://www.nautiqueparts.com/produc...y-box-2003-05/ comes with two wiring harnesses. If you have an '06 or newer you will not need the 25' wiring harness and you can call Miami Nautique and request a drop ship from Nautique w/o this harness and save yourself around $150!

Re: PerfectPass display at night - I have the same problem with my original PP display, and I was thinking about putting in a simple toggle to power it off independently. I don't need it to function at night, so I figure I can just cut the power wire and run it through a simple switch, mounted... somewhere. That's my thought, because you're right, it can't be dimmed, certainly not enough - I dim my other dash lights all the way to off, I can still see them enough.

Where is the Faria box located in the SV211?

Mine was in the stern compartment on starboard side behind a black plastic shield.
