Rear storage hatch flys open when trailering

Hey guys. 2018 GS20. Boat is like new with 48hrs. Everytime I get above 60mph on the highway the starboard side rear storage hatch flies open and nearly rips off the boat. Any suggestions? I’ve heard to disconnect the gas shock but that’s not optimal Everytime. Suggestions?

Sounds like the latch isnt latching€¯ like its supposed to. Might check how its alligning with what it locks on when closed

I would shut it and then try jiggling it and see if it pops open. Might not be catching or needing to tighten the latching mechanism (if it's possible)
