I need some opinions on my 96 Sport reno. I will be replacing all of the existing vinyl. I will also be ripping out the carpet, prepping the raw fiberglass and installing SeaDek.
On the pdf template I got from SeaDek on a conversion on a 94, someone choose to replace the side combing pads with SeaDek instead of vinyl. Its an intriguing idea, especially considering how crazy the vinyl quotes I've gotten up here in Canada are (US$4800-5600) for whole boat.
I've scoured google image search to find an example of a 90-01 Sport that has ditched the vinyl side pads for SeaDek. Does anyone have any pics? Has anyone seen this done? Does it look good? In my mind I can imagine it both way, looking super modern and cool OR thin with no depth and obviously lacking something.
Thoughts?
