    Rear Hard Tanks Capacity?

In a 2014 SAN230, what does each of the hard tanks hold? Port, starboard, and belly?

    Thanks!

The total factory ballast is 1300 pounds.

The belly tank holds 70 gallons of water which comes to 584 pounds.

That leaves 716 pounds left for the rear tanks which comes in at 358 pounds each.

Call the rears 360 pounds each and the belly 585.

Awesome, thank Charles. I couldn't find that info anywhere. I assumed someone here would know.

Yea, I'm a big fan of the 230. I'm on my second. I spent a LOT of time figuring out how to set the 230 up for a very good surf wave without eating up 100% of the rear lockers. I know it can surf bigger with more weight in the back, but where I am is really good. The 230 creates an ungodly amount of push.

          I am pretty excited with it now. 360 Hard tanks + 650 piggyback + 200 steel = ~1200 x 2 = 2400 + 580 belly = ~3000

I think I will add about 100-200 more lead to the lockers and a little more to the mid. Likely be about 3500?

That's a lot. I'm right at 2950 total so you'll be a good 500 pounds heavier than me. I know when I have a lot of people on the boat I have to bump the speed two tenths to get the long wake back.

So maybe I am good right now with the 650 bags fully filled? I don't have ANY extra weight anywhere else and normally, well now that the water is 51 degrees, not too many people. But that will change. What board do you ride? I have a Hyperlite Automatic 4'7" and a TimeMachine 4'11"...totally different boards

I think you're fine with the 650's but you may need some weight under the seats. See how it does. Get out there and have your biggest guy move around. Put him up front and see what it does.

I mostly ride the Liquid Force Keen or my Marshmellow. Both good boards.
