    battery charger question

I just pulled my boat out of storage. I believe the batteries were left connected by the winterizing dealer. I have the onboard charger.
Do I just plug the charger into shore power to charge the batteries?
    How does this thing work?
    thanks

Connect the batteries and then plug in, its a trickle charger and will top off the batteries.

The onboard charger (assuming it's the factory ProMariner ProSport) should charge them back up. The front panel should have some indicators that will reflect the state of the battery. So yes, plug it into 120v power on shore, and it will take care of the rest.

With a master battery switch, there is actually no need to physically disconnect the batteries. Turning the switch off disconnects the B+ from any loads, except maybe the auto bilge on some boats/models.

If the boat lives where there is access to an AC receptacle, its good practice to use the on-board through the off season, rather then just in the spring. Its hard on batteries to sit with a low state of charge, especially in regions where the temps get low.
