Super Air Nautique 210 (2012) idle temp is too high (207F)

Hi all, really hoping someone may be able to provide some assistance or guidance. Our super air Nautique was jumping up to 207F at idle. We replaced our thermostat and replaced our impeller and are still having issues.

On the water, we seem to be okay. We can cruise at speed and hold engine temp at 167F. When we come to idle though we shoot up to 207F. The high idle temp is what made us think the impeller was the issue. But after replacement we are still hot at idle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Air leak. Cooling system is allowing air to enter. Check water strainer with gasket and tighten all hose clamps.

Yes, air leak is the most likely cause. You might also check for old impeller blades blocking things like the thermostat, transmission cooler, etc.

Check the water separator to make sure it's sealed really well. These things can be very temperamental and will bleed air which in turn will cause flow issues. Look to see if you can see any air bubbles. If so you're not getting a good seal.

Hi everyone, thanks for the water separator suggestion. We pulled the hoses off, cleaned up the separator, checked for leaks, and put it all back together. It is definitely not leaking and no air bubbles are in it. Unfortunately we are still jumping to 207F at idle. Any other thoughts?

Is there a garden hose fresh water flushing connection that is leaking air?

I know it sounds silly, but is anything clogging the intake on the bottom of the hull?
