    2008 SANTE 210 throttle adjustment.

Kind of at a loss here. Have a throttle gap all of sudden.

Forward, neutral , and reverse all engage properly and right away. Shifting is still smooth. Boat engages idle at proper position. But when you go to pull up a rider or goose the throttle. There is a gap of 1/4-1/3 of throttle movement , so my shifter travels forward a good amount before the boat throttles up. Any adjustment to this or is this the sign of new throttle cable needed? There’s no binding or anything. It’s smooth as silk. It just has a gap now after engaging where the throttle essentially moves but the boat first get going any faster

Are you sure it's a cable operated throttle? Could be drive by wire being a Chevy and an 08

. Gonna be honest, I am not sure how the entire system works with my zero off and engine. I was a perfect pass paddle wheel guy with a servo motor forever on multiple boats .....So this is somewhat foreign to me.

I do know Nautique/ pcm went to throttle by wire in 07. But I could’ve swore I saw cables on the back side of my throttle , which just lead me to believe there is still a cable involved somewhere. Again Have zero clue how the entire system is linked , or if there are any manual adjustments outside of ECM calibration stuff, so that’s why I am here.

The "throttle by wire" in my 08 (and I'd assume yours) is an interesting deal as there is a physical cable that runs from the throttle lever at the driver back to a sensor on top of the engine (TPS). That sensor is the digital part of the setup and I recently had to replace mine as I was getting some engine codes that indicated the sensor wasn't in sync. I doubt that the physical cable is the issue, but that sensor could be a contributor. If it were, it sounds like the sensor may not be sending voltage immediately when it begins to move, effectively not advancing the throttle as desired.

Unfortunately, none of that stuff has any sort of manual adjustment that I'm aware of. If it did happen to be an issue with the TPS it probably has triggered some codes if you have access to a scan tool. It's a $260ish part and may require a re-flash of your ECM.

I’m seeing a similar issue on an ‘08 210. Did you find the fix?

This is the part I used to fox my issue. The dealer also had to reflash the engine software to integrate the new part properly.

INDpilotP The new part swatguy mentioned apparently fixed his issue and it resolved the issues I had, as well. As others have mentioned you'll need to get the ECM reprogrammed to work with the new part. I see you're from Indy -- N3 reprogrammed mine w/out issue, fyi...
