How do you re-install Engine Compartment Divider on Port (walkway) Side of 226?

By replacing my starter on my '06 226 I had to remove my port side engine compartment divider which the top half was very tight getting out given that it fits under the fiberglass walkway. Now i need to reinstall it, and for the life of me, I cannot seem to fit the upper half in the aluminum C channel and the fiberglass lip. What's the secret??

I figured out an easy way to replace the divider adjacent to walkway. If you take a couple of 27" long 2x4s and pry the lower divider out at the top 'C' channel it will ensure the lower divider is stable and extended out far enough to accommodate the upper divider. Ensure the upper divider is pushed as far forward as possible and begin inserting the upper divider from the back side of the boat.

Also you have to unscrew the 1x1 vertical aluminum tubing, only at the top, that the engine hatch shocks mount to and push the top of it towards the starboard side of the boat out of the way. Its a tight fit from the factory and you may need to apply force to get it to move. This makes a huge difference
