Engine Turns over but not firing

I'm looking for some ignition system help on a 1995 Sport Nautique with Ford 351. I have done quite a bit of troubleshooting and think I have narrowed it down but looking for other experience to make sure i'm on the right track. I just changed the spark plugs, had the boat lowered on the lift the boat fired up and was running at a high idle for about 3-4 minutes and it sounded good. When I moved the throttle back to center the engine cut off and would not restart. It turns over but there is no ignition. I have pulled the wire off of the coil and I can see a spark both at the coil and at the end of the wire that would plug into the distributor cap. I do not have any spark at the plug and I can't see any sparking at the distributor cap on the output side going to the plugs. The boat has a Mallory YCM 544 CV distributor. Since I see spark at the coil I assume the coil is good. I assume I need to replace the rotor and cap. Could the coil still be bad even though i'm seeing spark? Is there anything else it could be?

Sounds like cap and rotor to me, or possibly coil, based on your description. I would start there anyway.

Agreed. Cap & rotor. It's a fairly inexpensive repair. Please let us know what happens.

Now i'm going down the rabbit hole of which are the correct cap and rotor and what may be more readily available. I cannot seem to find a breakdown of the Mallory distributor.
The distributor is Mallory YLM 554 CV it says use 209D for the cap.
I have tried cross referencing several numbers It looks like a common equivalent brand is Sierra.
Are there any good alternatives for the 209D from Mallory?
For rotors, the one that is in the distributor now is black and seems to have a lot of play in the fit. I have no idea what the part number is. What i'm finding looking through forums is the correct rotor is Mallory 309. Are there other suitable alternatives?

Just to close the loop on this topic. I ordered new cap, rotor, coil and resistor from NautiqueParts.com. I replaced the parts one by one to determine which part was the culprit. Replacing the coil was the final solution. This tells me that the existing coil, although it had some output, had low output.
