I've been looking at purchasing my first ski nautique and found a local boat that is being sold cheap but needs some work. I don't have a lot of experience with fiberglass work or boats in general, so I would like some opinions on if this type of damage is typical for a '76 or if I should steer clear of this boat. It has some stringer rot in the back of the boat from leaking manifolds but the engine mounts appear to be pretty solid. I don't mind replacing the stringers, but don't want to pick up the boat if the hull can't be salvaged. The attached photo is near the front of the boat below the waterline. Any input or shared knowledge on this is greatly appreciated.
