Another question as part of my 96 Sport restore and modernization project.
I have the windshiled taken apart and set to goto the powercoat shop. I will be adding a Roswell Cam RT tower in black. With the new tower in black along with the windshield I'm wondering about the side rails. I'm actually considering not reinstalling the main body hand rails, as I don't see much function for them (correct me if I'm wrong) and I think they will visually clash with the new tower.
I do plan on leaving the bow rails on. However, those rails will be the only chrome metal on the boat (the rear transom handle is also black originally).
My question is this:
1) Opinions on not putting the main side rails back on? (SeaDek will cover the 45 degree angle cutout where they mount.)
2) Should I black powdercoat the bow rails?
3) How hot will the black powdercoat make the bow rails in the summer sun? Too hot to touch? Is there any such thing as a cool to touch powdercoat material?
