I just took my new (to me) 230 out for its maiden voyage last night. It was so smooth. I am really satisfied with it. However, one thing isn’t clear to me and I can’t find the answer in the manual or the forum: what is the optimal protocol for using speed control?
i turn it on and hit the throttle but is that it? When does it take over and maintain/attain the speed I want? Do I have to accelerate all the way up to the target speed then I can leave the throttle alone? It seemed inconsistent and to not always maintain the target even when on. I’m sure some of that was user error, so I want to get it down.
Any tips on throttle for wakesurfing vs wakeboarding would also be appreciated. This forum has been priceless in helping me choose a boat and be ready to hit the water.
