Who’s been running the Acme 1235 prop on their 07-13 Super Air Nautique 210

I know this prop was discussed way back in the day , but looking for some info now that it’s long term.

The original discussions centered around prop burn due to the diameter of the 1235. Has anyone had issues with that ? I have the 1617 but I’ve always felt it still needs more.

I guess so does wakemakers. Now they offer a 14x12 for the 210.

I have heard some guys run the 2079 which is 14.5x12. this is the heavy one on a 230. I bet it would make the 210 leap out of the hole.

I have heard some guys if that get burn, just have there glass guy, glass in a piece of stainless steel for no worry future.

Didn’t realize wakemakers changed their entire prop recommendations recently.

the 1617 used to the their heavy hitter.

looks like Acme may have addressed what I am looking for.

If you get the 2571 do a review. I'd be interested as well. I'm in agreeance the 1617 is ok, but could be better.

For those interested. This 2571 is the **** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it blows the doors of my 1617 for hole shot fully loaded. I can actually now get out of the water at wakeboard speed fully loaded for surf. My original wakeboard wake setup holeshot feels like it was almost halved. I’ll get the actual numbers hopefully in a short period regarding rpms, top speed etc

I run the 2079 on my 230. The 2571 is basically a 14” version of that. The 2079 hole shot is amazing compared to the 1235 that was originally on there and I don’t lose much top speed. As far as 14” vs 14.5”, I ran a 1234 (RH version of the 1235) on my 95 Super Sport with no gel cost burn issues. If you wanted to try to run a 14.5” on a 210 you could always measure your current prop’s clearance to get a rough idea of how much clearance you’d have with a 14.5”.

D*** it. Lol. Looks like I'm dropping $500 on a new prop.

                  Hal.

That was precisely the issue The 1235 didn’t have enough clearance according to what Acme recommends. Some guys still chose to run it, but there was a huge discussion on whether prop burn would happen to the gelcoat because of the tight clearance. Hence the original reason for this post. Now that it’s essentially been long term, was wondering actually how many guys have experienced it. If you go purely by specs , the 210 is limited to 14 diameter, With that said the 2571 gave me what I was looking for with the proper 14 inch diameter. Didn’t know Acme finally made a 12 pitch in the 14inch til this thread came along. It has to be a new prop that only dropped in the last 6-8 months because I was looking for other options mid season last year .

I get that. That’s why I suggested measuring yourself. Some year models of pre-2007 210/Super Sport had different shaft lengths. I had almost an inch of clearance after going to a 14.5”. Not everyone had that. The 2571 is definitely a safer solution. But for anyone curious about going to 14.5”, if you can get 1 1/4” of clearance with a 14” prop going to 14.5” should still maintain an adequate 3/4”.

So how much rpm increase at 22mphish? About 100? I'm really thinking about doing this.

                          Gents.

I’ll do my best to get you the numbers shortly. Unfortunately with the mayhem and chaos , I’ve been on 14 hr days for 18days straight with no days off. Should get some detailed lake time here next two days.

                          what I do know now
at 23.5 mph and roughly 3k in ballast I was at 34-3500 rpms

below is an old thread with numbers I want to kind of link , as a “full package “. I’ll get the wot numbers and top speed empty for you for sure and well as surf rpms for 10.5mph.

                            10.5mph 3050 RPM 3k ballast
                            23.5mph 3450 RPM 3 k ballast
                            37.5 WOT. No ballast.

We also noticed a much cleaner lip on the port side surf wake.
