Speed Control and Speedometer Wigging Out

I have a 2013 Sport Nautique 200. Sometimes digital the GPS Speedometer works great and no issues with speed control. Other times it's completely non functional. The GPS antenna isn't covered or blocked. It just started flicker....Any insight?

I posted last year but got a video to add ... I took it to dealer and they said everything was fine, checked connects, and all.

I had this happen to me early on. Found a loose ground wire on the PP gauge. Tightened and doubled with a jam nut and has been good since.

Would that cause the speedometer to accelerate like in the video and spike/dip like that? That's even when speed control isn't on.

When this happened to us we found the paddlewheel on the in hull sensor was worn and sticking. The GPS puck is an added input.

I do not think I have a paddlewheel sensor on my boat...I could be wrong...thanks!

What is the topography around where you ride? We ride on a narrow lake with tall trees and steep hills on both sides. In certain areas we lose GPS signal and the zero-off will speed up and slow down.

I've seen it jump like that sitting stationary on the trailer... no answer from nautiques... subscribing.

Yes, I've seen the same thing when my boat is on the lift...it'll jump up and go down fast.

I didn't think I has a paddewheel on my 2014 210 either until I checked in to this issue. It is a thru hull sensor with temp also.
