2012 210 Ballast pump

Installed a new prewired ballast pump today and when I push empty it fills and fill is empty. The pump came prewired with a connector. Do I need to cut the wires or try to switch them in the connector?

Either remove the two screws holding the head on the pump and rotate the head 180* before reinstalling the head or de-pin the connector and re-pin it with the wires in the opposite holes.
