Fuel gauge and stereo not working.

Hey all! It's been a while. In the fall I bought a 08 SANTE 210. Used it 3-4 times and put it up. Got it out about a month ago and the fuel gauge isn't reading anything, and the stereo is on but no sound from any speakers. The PO was a big stereo guy, so there are at least 2 amps maybe 3 (I can't remember and its not close ATM) and wiring as big as my fingers throughout it. What should I look toward before I give up and go the dealer route? TIA

You most likely have 2 issues as I doubt the stereo is part of the gauge circuit but then again if the guy installed the stereo all bets are off.

Not a lot to go on here but assuming you have a known good source for input to the stereo, connections to the battery and tripped breakers would be my first places to look especially on the ground side which could effect the gas gauge if not connected. Past this I'd need a lot more information on what is turning on and what's not to do anymore troubleshooting.
