Pebble Bluetooth Signal Range vs Garmin Fenix Bluetooth Range

Does anyone have any validated information/testing that the Garmin Fenix watch has a longer Bluetooth range vs the Pebble watch? The reason I ask is because the 3.0 Surf Select model(uses Garmin) now has an antenna on it whereas the 2.0 module (uses Pebble) does not have an antenna. If the range is substantially better I want to jump from the 2.0 module to the 3.0 module.
    Thanks

No difference in BT range for me. 2020 G21, Fenix 5+. When I fall surfing, the watch will lose BT (it ‘buzzes’ when it connects and disconnects BT) when the boat is furthest from me before pickup.

My Pebble has the same experience . Thanks for validating and answering my question . With what you just stated , I will stick with my Pebble and 2.0 Surf Select module. There is no advantage for me to upgrade to the Fenix and 3.0 module

Agreed - don’t see much reason to upgrade if your Pebble is working well.

The Garmin Fenix with Surf Select 3.0 does not use Bluetooth. It's WiFi.
