    Engine temp reading at rest?

Saw the boat I have a deposit on at the dealer (out of the water). Looking at the LINC, air and water temp showed 70F (which was approximate air temp and looked reasonable). The engine temp showed 32F, which seemed weird. Is this normal, or something they need to calibrate before delivery?

32 is the minimum it will ever show. It's showing this because it's not getting any signal from the ECM. You have to have the ECM started up before it'll get a reading.

Thanks for the explanation. Weird they’d show an incorrect arbitrary number rather than just show nothing when there’s no reading, but that’s my UX designer eye-twitch coming out.
