    Need advice on where #1 should go on Cap

      Does not matter what model or even if it's a 4,6,8 cylinders. The rotor in the distributor always points to number 1 cylinder position when said cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke

        So are you saying if I took the cap off the point is pointing to should be #1? I appreciate the help

          Only if the number one cylinder is at top dead center on the compression stroke. Then you can remove the cap and check to see where the rotor is pointing,that terminal will be the #1 cylinder. https://www.autoblog.com/2016/03/25/...p-dead-center/
