DTC 2121 Throttle Control Position (TCP) sensor1-2 lower than expected.

Just took my 2019 G23 out. Fine for an hour then it threw this code. No throttle. Powered off/on, tried again. Same thing as soon as it gets to quarter throttle. Power off/on and then limped home at 4mph. Boat has 30 hours. My 4th July weekend is a bust. Found the code online but no action other than call the dealer. Anyone possibly help?

Thanks. I cleared the code, powered off, cycled thru and tried again. Three times. Each time at a quarter throttle it throws the code and there is no throttle response at all. Power cycle and keep it at 4mph and limp home. Dealer closed until Tuesday. Anyone know of any thing I might try?

A friend of mine had a tps code come up on his MasterCraft 5.3 liter Ilmor last week. The tsp and throttle are a unit and contain 2 sensors that communicate with the ecu on the boat. Boat went into limp code and he thought his weekend was done. I did some tsp/throttle body research and recommended he use auto parts store “throttle body” cleaner to clean the throttle body and the sensors. He was up and running right away. After the weekend he took it to the dealer to delete the code and the part was ultimately replaced under warranty. Maybe cleaning the throttle body and sensors can temporarily get you up and running

Does anyone have a link to a description of how to change the throttle body/TPS. Nautique closed until Tuesday so a new throttle is a week away.

This is a generic link that I googled. There are many similar online. I think there is an outside chance a cleaning might temporarily solve your issue. What is against that theory is you only have 30 hours on your engine. Unless you have a really poor quality fuel at your marina that gummed up your throttle body the low hours on your engine would lead me to believe the throttle body Should still be very clean and the tps actually has failed and needs replacement.

Sadly it was a new throttle that was needed. It's fine now.
