Decoding PCM 343 in ‘05 SV 211 - limp mode

Boat is at the shop because it goes into limp mode as soon as RPMs hit 2k. Gauge flashes “see dealer.” The shop disconnected the water temp sensor and the oil pressure sensor but that did not fix the problem. The mechanic tells me that he is getting the following message from the ECU but he does not know what it means:

    GENERAL TELLTALE WARNING No. 2.

Any idea what the ECU is trying to tell us?

There is an oil pressure SWITCH. This is not the same as the oil pressure sensor. If that switch senses low oil pressure, it will throw the system into limp mode.

There is also an over-temp switch, again separate from the sensor. If that one trips it'll also send it into limp mode.
