My bow cushions are loose where they wrap around just below the windshield. Please see attached image.
I looked under the dash and the observer seat and I found the screw that holds them to the boat. There is only one per side in this area (red circles). This screw (#8) was stripped out of the fiberglass cushion backing so I replaced it with the next size larger screw (#10). That is now stripped out after 3 trips to the lake, I suspect that when I screwed the larger screw in it just flaked the fiberglass off and didn't hold.
Has anyone had a problem with this and found a good fix? I had an idea to pre-drill and add 2 new #8 screws spaced about 6-8" apart vertically (green circles in attached image).
Any thoughts on this solution? Or a better one?
