    Map Sensor See Dealer

I recently replaced the Distributor cap on my 2003 SN 196 which fixed the not starting issue it had. However, now the boat is throwing a code. "Map Sensor See Dealer" and "Man Air Sensor See Dealer". The boat seems to be running perfectly fine but these codes show up every time I use the boat. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Does anyone know how to clear them or what they mean if something is wrong with the boat? Thanks.

Have you cleaned the air intake and the air sensor? Be worth checking the connections to the sensors and also make sure the engine grounds are clean/tight

Infinity Where is the air intake and sensor? I’ve never worked on either of those parts of the boat. Thank you.

The air cleaner is on the front of the engine typically (which is at the back of the boat on a v-drive).... the air sensor is usually plugged in on the side of the air filter/intake. You want to clean the air intake real good annually at least since that is how the engine breathes, you model may have an actual air filter that is dirty and requires replacement? The sensor can also be cleaned with alchohol.... maybe the connection was bumped when you replaced the distributor cap and needs to be disconnected, cleaned and re-connected....

When you disconnected the battery to reset the system, how long did you leave it disconnected? Typically you wanna give it a good 15mins for a reset. I zip tie the battery connections together so I cant screw it up when I put it back together (I also have 3 batteries)

Infinity Thank you for the tips! I am not sure what did it but the error code is cleared. I tool the flame resistor off, unplugged the electric connections in that area and plugged them back in, and then unplugged the battery for ~20 min. When I started the boat back up there was no error code.
