Advantage of a 4 blade prop for a 95 Ski Nautique?

Just acquired a 95 SN with 3 blade prop with a couple dents. There is a slight vibration around the top speed 42 mph on speedomeer not gps verified just ran it for the 2nd time last night.. If I upgrade to a 4 blade prop what performance upgrades can I expect besides less vibrations can I expect a higher top speed current prop starts to cavitate at the top end of the throttle. What prop would you suggest for a 95 SN 196 with a PCM 5.8 ProBoss engine. Thanks for your advice regards, Al

A 3-blade is slightly more efficient than a 4-blade. I prefer the 4-blade as I like the wake/table shape. I recommend the ACME 422. Smooth prop with good hole-shot. You'll like the wake behind the 422. If you want pull-your-arms-off hole-shot then go with the ACME 654 -- same prop as the 422 but with 1/2" less pitch.

I ran the 654 on my 1994 Ski Nautique since most of my skiing is at 4,400 feet to 6,000 feet of elevation. I went with the 654 to help out with the H.P. loss due to elevation.
