Pairing garmin watch

Does anyone know how to pair off Fenix 6x to The LINQ panoray? At the bottom of the watch there is a Wi-Fi symbol with a red X. And nothing is connected.

My Fenix 5 Plus connected automatically to my G21, I literally didn’t have to do a thing. It has worked great for weeks, but did lose the connection too (red X) last night. Power-cycled the boat, no dice. Power-cycled the watch and it automatically connected again. FYI - I interchangeably use the watch (me) and Surf Select switch (guests) and besides the fact that the Surf Select switches are crap and constantly need to be taken apart to dry out, swap batteries, and re-pair, I have no issues using both.
