Guys/Gals, I need some advise/input on my boat. '19GS22
About to hit 100 hours.
Initial 25 hour service was done
Winterized at 50 hours with oil change, FCC filter change, and spin on fuel filter change.
Now I am about to hit 100 hours. Looking at the PCM manual and service intervals it states to change the oil and filter every 50 hours. Fine, I can do that. But the manual also states every 50 hours to change the FCC and the spin on filter, and once a year change the transmission fluid and inspect the v-drive fluid.
So the tranny and v-drive interval puts me at the 125 hour mark.
so here is where I need advice:
is it super critical that I have the Oil and filter, FCC filter, and spin on filters changed now, or can I wait until 125 hours? or even end of the season? I suspect we will put another 50 hours on the boat
also, the parts to fix the NSS and gelcoat issue are in. The gelcoat guy says he will need the boat for 1 week.
So, another big question is, do I take the boat out for 7-10 days and get the gelcoat repairs and the services done now, or do I wait until the end of the season?
it is the prime time of the short season. the lake the boat is on is a small lake with essentially a 1 way road to it. it is super painful to tow the boat down the road. so definitely not ideal time to be doing this
Thanks for the opinions
